Fiscal Founders QuickBooks Reporting Integration

Fiscal Founders LLC (“Fiscal Founders,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy and confidentiality of client information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Fiscal Founders QuickBooks Reporting Integration (the “Integration”).
The Integration is available only to active clients of Fiscal Founders under a separate services agreement.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information accessed through:
- The Fiscal Founders QuickBooks Reporting Integration
- Connections made through Intuit’s QuickBooks Online API
It does not govern QuickBooks itself. QuickBooks is operated by Intuit Inc., and your use of QuickBooks is governed by Intuit’s privacy policies and terms.
2. Information We Access
When you authorize the Integration through Intuit’s OAuth process, we may access financial and operational data contained in your QuickBooks Online account, including:
- Company information (business name, address)
- Chart of accounts
- Transactions (income, expenses, journal entries)
- Invoices and bills
- Vendor and customer records
- Payroll-related accounting entries (if applicable)
- Reports and balances
We only access data necessary to generate financial reports and provide services under your engagement with Fiscal Founders.
We do not collect personal data unrelated to financial reporting purposes.
3. How We Use Information
We use QuickBooks data solely to:
- Generate customized financial reports
- Perform financial analysis
- Support controller-level accounting services
- Provide deliverables under your Services Agreement
- Maintain operational integrity and troubleshoot issues
We do not:
- Sell your data
- Rent your data
- Use your data for advertising
- Use your data for unrelated marketing purposes
4. Data Sharing
We do not share identifiable client financial data with third parties except:
- As required to provide services (e.g., secure hosting providers)
- As required by law, subpoena, or regulatory obligation
- With your explicit authorization
Service providers used for infrastructure or hosting are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
5. Data Retention
Fiscal Founders does not operate the Integration as a long-term data warehouse.
QuickBooks data accessed through the Integration is:
- Retrieved and processed for report generation and analysis
- Retained only for the minimum period reasonably necessary to provide services
- Deleted within a commercially reasonable period after termination of services, subject to legal or contractual retention obligations
If you disconnect the Integration or terminate your Services Agreement, access to QuickBooks data is revoked.
6. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data, including:
- Secure OAuth authentication via Intuit
- Encrypted transmission of data
- Access controls limiting internal access to authorized personnel
- Secure hosting environments
However, no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You acknowledge this inherent risk.
7. Your Rights and Choices
As the QuickBooks account holder, you control:
- Authorization of the Integration
- Scope of access granted through Intuit permissions
- Revocation of access at any time through QuickBooks settings
If you wish to request deletion of stored Integration-related data, you may contact us at the information provided below.
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to request access to or deletion of certain personal information. Because the Integration is available only to business clients and processes business financial data, CCPA rights may be limited in scope. We will respond to verified requests as required by law.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Integration is intended for business use only. It is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
9. Third-Party Services
The Integration relies on Intuit QuickBooks Online API services. Your use of QuickBooks is governed by Intuit’s terms and privacy policies.
Fiscal Founders is not responsible for the privacy practices of Intuit or other third-party platforms.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we will provide notice via email or written communication. Continued use of the Integration after updates constitutes acceptance.
